I’m Jana van Staden, the owner of Number Decoders.
I have worked in a family-owned accounting and audit firm in Namibia for over 15 years where I became like family too. Moving to New Zealand in 2019 was a big time in my life when I was at the start of my small family. For the last 5 years, I have focused all my energy on my kids. They were growing so fast, and we were ready for me to take on the ropes of my career again.
I was mentored by the best to run a practice. So naturally, starting my firm was the next logical step.
Number Decoders was established at the start of 2023.
Yes, I am only at the start of this journey, but not at the start of my professional career.
I understand accounting. I want you, to benefit from it. I have the skills of an accountant to see the bigger picture and the sense of the auditor to identify weaknesses and mitigate risk. I am passionate about Management Reporting.
I hold a graduate degree in accounting science, a post-graduate diploma in applied accounting science, and an Xero advisory certificate, and I am a registered tax agent.
I am a member of the New Zealand Qualified
Bookkeepers Association and the Institute of Certified New Zealand Bookkeepers.
